Strengthening Communities: Unveiling the Dates and Locations of the NAREB Building Black Wealth Tour and Community Expo
Festivals are my jam but my day-to-day career is being a REALTOR and National Association of Real Estate Brokers (NAREB) Realist. NAREB is the equivalent of the NAACP for housing and part of the mission is “…strengthening the consumer capacity of Black, minority, and emerging target market segments that Realtists serve…”
It’s no secret that there is a disparity of homeownership within the Black community and the Building Black Wealth Tour and Community Expo is an event that will be held in various cities to educate our community on home ownership. Events have already taken place in Houston, TX and Birmingham, AL but the following events will be held in 2024 and 2025:
Charlotte, North Carolina - March 2, 2024
Mt. Vernon, New York - April 13, 2024
Little Rock, Arkansas - June 8, 2024
New Orleans, Louisiana - August 3, 2024
Atlanta, Georgia - November 9, 2024
Miramar, Florida - March 2025
Beverly Hills, Missouri - June 2025
Los Angeles, California - August 2025
Attendees will have access to career fairs, health screenings, giveaways and the opportunity to meet one-on-one with an attorney and/or housing counselor at the free Building Black Wealth Tour. Workshops include “ABCs of Home Buying” and a session on down payment assistance and my favorite, “What to do with Big Mama’s House,”. For more information, click the image below.
