Who is Travelbay?

Yoma: Travelbay was started by an experienced team – passionate about ensuring that any American, anywhere on earth can easily plan, curate, book and experience travel across Africa. Africa is the most unbelievable continent; correctly hailed as the next destination of global economic growth, with as yet undiscovered opportunities, the youngest population, amazing culture, massively untapped potential, etc. It is also a beautiful continent yet to be unraveled. Making Africa easily accessible would contribute to creating a better understanding, opportunity and possibilities for people across the world. This huge vision birthed the company Travelbay. It is a platform that has leveraged our team’s firsthand experience, expertise and operational history on the continent to serve America.

What’s your personal experience in the travel space?

Yoma: As founder, I have almost 15 years’ experience in the travel industry serving markets across Africa, Europe, Middle East, Asia, South America and a bit of North America across several service area of the industry – flights, hotels, retail and corporate travel management, visa services, etc. However, I have operated on the continent of Africa for most of this time and hence have an extensive network of professional, business, cultural and business relationships across the continent. I have also led travel agencies for about 10 years. This experience with my founding team is the value and excellence we are bringing to offer the best experience to America.
