This month’s American Black Film Festival (ABFF) has partnered with Issa Rae as the newly-appointed Creative Director. The festival will take place June 12 - 16, 2024 in Miami Beach, Fla. That show was the launchpad for her ascension to international media mogul. This is a newly-created role and Rae will work closely with ABFF planners to program the lineup for the festival’s 28th edition. “We couldn’t think of a better partner to help us continue to embody the ABFF mission of showcasing Black talent — and discovering and amplifying new voices,” ABFF co-founders and producers Nicole and Jeff Friday said.
