Learn More about Black Travel Alliance and the 2024 Black Travel Summit

Black Travel Alliance (BTA) and Black Travel Summit are coming together for four days of support, empowerment, and opportunities to connect the Black travel community. The Black Travel Summit (BTS) will take place from October 10 - 13 in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., featuring exciting events such as BTA’s fifth Wavelength, BlackAF Tour, Black Travel Awards Gala, and more. To learn more about this event, you can find detailed information in Jemazing Travels’ article. BTA has recently revamped its blog, providing insights on travel from the perspective of Black travel creators and professionals, including an article from JemazingTravels founder, Jemeela Malcolm, and yours truly.

About Black Travel Alliance

The Black Travel Alliance (BTA) is a non-profit organization established by 17 global Black travel content creators in June 2020. The alliance aims to hold travel brands accountable and advocate for meaningful representation of Black voices in the travel industry.

For me, BTA has been an invaluable resource as I started my content creator career. It offers a supportive community of travel professionals who are open to sharing ideas and resources with no gatekeeping. I had the pleasure of meeting the president, Martinique Lewis, at the 2022 Nomadness Fest in Newark, N.J., where her energy and passion for the travel industry were truly inspiring.

About Black Travel Summit

Black Travel Summit was founded in 2019 by Anita Moreau to connect travel brands, creators, and newcomers to the industry, expanding Black involvement in tourism. Despite the challenges posed by COVID-19, BTS hosted over 40 virtual events and two webinars, making a significant impact in the industry. I’m excited to be attending Black Travel Summit this year, and I look forward to sharing a recap of this inspiring event. Stay tuned to the website for updates.
